About Dr. Dawn
MY STORY
Dr. Dawn Tirado Hamby is the CEO and founder of Dr. Dawn ShopTalk, a consulting company based on Dr. Hamby’s 30+ years of experience in education, administration, management and training.
As a result she now believes in ONE UNIVERSAL TRUTH - our potential knows no boundaries, except for the ones we put there. Training can become the toolbox that unlocks YOUR belief that your possibilities are truly endless.

From personal development, to landing that promotion, Dr. Dawn helps men, and women in the workforce to uncover their true potential. ShopTalk offers a variety of customizable training (both live and virtual), motivational programs, and career/life coaching opportunities for individual clients, businesses, nonprofits, and school districts.
A native of New York, Dr. Hamby’s family is originally from Puerto Rico and moved to Arkansas in 1979. A graduate of Hendrix College, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, followed by a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education, and a Doctorate in Higher Education, with a specialty in Secondary Education Teaching and Administration.
Dr. Hamby is also a proud military mom – recently stationed with her husband at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, FL, her daughter Savannah has been promoted to Staff Sergeant and works as an Armament Mechanic for the F-35 Fighter Jet (the plane in Top Gun!). And thanks to their non-military daughter Laura, “Lollie” ( Dr. Dawn) and
“Pop” (her husband Mark) get to spend time as proud grandparents to their granddaughters Molly Grace (3) and Baby Elena (4 months) in Russellville, AR. When not bragging about their daughters and granddaughters, Dr. Dawn and Mark live in Little Rock, Arkansas, along with their two “furry-children,” MJ and Roxie, and enjoy travelling, Netflix binges and chef-inspired meals with wine pairings.

Millitary Mom
Dr. Hamby is a PROUD military mom! After serving in Japan for 2 years, her daughter Savannah Ann and her Husband are stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
Barking At The Dog
This is me at four years old in front of our apartment in New York. Can you guess what I was doing? I am barking back at the dog that DARED to bark at me and my family! HA! That is my gift to you - to show you how to BARK BACK and realize that you can take charge of your life, RIGHT NOW!

30 years of experience in education, training, management, and coaching has taught me a LOT!
